Her birthplace was Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michelle was her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parentage Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She is of Mexican-American heritage and is an American through nationality. At a very young age, her desire to be active in sports was strong. Gerina started playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina graduated from Goddard High School. In high school, she was the winner of her first prize at the New Mexico golf state tournament. In addition, she was a volleyball player who competed at the national level. She went to an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. In her final year, she took home every single tournament she entered. During her college career, she received her Conference USA Player of The Year Award as well as the UTEP Female Sports Athlete Award.
