She was born March 29th 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexico. Her birth title is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson's parents are Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is Mexican and American. From a young age the desire for her to be active in sports was strong. Gerina began playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. In high school she was the winner of in the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. As a volleyball player, she participated in state championships. At the age of 2003, she enrolled at the University of Texas. In her senior year, she was a winner in each tournament in which she played in. In her undergraduate seasons, she won Conference USA's individual player of season and UTEP's Female Athletic of the Year.
