Her birthplace was Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Her given name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American citizenship. Since she was a child she's been extremely interested in participating in sport. Gerina took up golf in her first game at the age of 15. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. In high school, she took home her first prize at the New Mexico golf state tournament. She also had her volleyball skills recognized at the national scale. At the age of 2003, she began her studies at the University of Texas. In her senior year she took home every single tournament she entered. In the course of her undergraduate studies, she earned the titles of Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Years.
